Porterbuilt sells em with there new croassmember but u can order it seperate. Another option would be a custom built one from "Flaming River"

The design of the factory C-10 crossmember makes it extremely difficult to fabricate mounts for a rack and pinion, that would locate it in an ideal position. It can be done, but requires some knowledge in suspension and steering geometry, along with sound fabrication skills. This is one of the many reasons that helped give birth to the Dropmember.

We use a Mustang rack from 79-93 model years, but our system is designed to be used with this rack's dimensions. The Dropmember's geometry is not the same as factory C-10.

Pinto rack, billet mount and tie rod extensions from jegs then I drilled out the spindle and machined a bronze bushing and pressed it in for the bolt to go through.

I've got a pretty intricate one in the truck I'm building for myself. I used an '04 Chevy Pickup two-wheel drive rack, as I found the geometry to be correct with the Instant Center, upper arm angle, lower arm angle and tie rod angle along with the pivot point of the three parts. I mounted mine to the front frame as I wanted to be able to remove it withouth removing the engine incase anything should ever happen.
