I have painted door panels, and I'm wanting to cover them in suede. Do I need to sand off the paint before covering them or just scuff them up a little? Or can I just cover right over the paint, which I don't feel like would be a good thing to do.Thanks

Anybody???? Also can I just use the same glue that I used to put my headliner up or do I need something different? I figure if its strong enough to hold my headliner it should hold anything.
Thanks

just to be safe i would scuff up the paint with a coarse scuffing pad, they are like $0.99 at a paint supply store. As for the glue, headliner adhesive should do it, but if it ever tries to peel off, try out the gorilla glue. also make sure you wrap at least an inch of material around the backside of the panel and when your glue gets tacky and starts to dry pull the edge tight around the backside and glue it to the back with a hot glue gun, this will keep the material from getting pulled if your foot or leg...etc... was to rub against it.
