Hi, I have a dakota with the 4-link parellel setup, which wishbones behind the rear. I have the slam bags mounted behind the axle. I am currently getting it drawn up on cad right now.
I am doing a project for school and we have to do some calculations as part of the project on the stresses and strength of some joints and bars. I selected to do my dakota truck frame with the power transmitted to the rear with the 4 link setup.
I was wondering if anyone (biomax seems to most knowledgable), can assist in these calculations or point me to a website that will help. Also, any other calculations that I could do on any part of the truck that people may suggest would help as the more calculations the better.
I was recommended not to do the project on my truck, since there will be alot of variables and the teacher will not know how to go about it. This interests me and is more practical than other projects I see, so I am going to attempt it. The calculations do not have to be 100% accurate, but ballpark would be good.
Any help or a path to some help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, mike.
