So I want to sfbd my extended cab shortbed, and chop the top. Where can I find, or can someone give a step by step (Hopefully with pics included) on how to do it yourself. My Husband and I do all our own stuff, and we want to bd it next! I'm SOOOOOO exceited, but nervous at the same time, cuz we've never got THIS in depth!! Hope you guys can help!!! Thanks!

Ok, so a stock floor you pretty much rebuild the frame under the cab? And dont you basically tunnel the cab? I didn't see in either of those how that's done.

Basically yes the frame is rebuilt under the cab and move stuff to accomidate the drop. Maybe the best bet is to get somebody to help you thats done it before or have it done if you dont know how to do it. Gota make sure its safe for the road.

Ya for sure! So, which is easier or better?? stock floor or traditional?

hell im sure someone sells a bolt on stock floor frame kit for s10s

stock floor is better if you want to keep the cab space in side stock, because you will loose space doing a tradiational with the floor moving up. Then you got do more seat mods if you dont have enought sitting room.

Most would say a traditional is easier becuase you r going to just cut the floor out and let the cab fall until its even with the frame rails which u would use boards under the frame so the cab will fall on them then u know its even with the bottome of the frame rails or I like to use square tubing because i know its not going to bend and has better consistancy to support the cab. Although im not saying boards arent ok because they r i have seen some nice jobs done using them. But its more involved than just this its just the obvious but a STFB is more involved but well worth it in the end when u have head room.
