is there a rod or push rod for the manual fuel pump ar does the leaver ride on the cam?

the fuel pump lever rides on the cam. If you remove it, watch for the spacer between the pump and head. I missed it when installing mine after the engine was rebuilt and the lever snapped off about 500km later, no fun whatsoever.

I know on the 86-93 2.0 and 2.2 in just rides on the cam.

Have any of you heard of the cam wearing out ,preventing the lever to move enough for propper fuel pressure?

I have a b2200i have fire good compression and i cheked timeing but still wont run the fuel pressure is low.

If you have a 2200i as stated above, it should have a high pressure eletric pump in the tank, not a mechanical on the side of the block.

that was a mistake on the i,but isnt it a 2600i not a 2200i it def has a manual fuel pump

is the filter old and plugged? a carb 2.2 only has approx 3-4 psi fuel pressure. there is also a 2200i that was relased primarily in cali.
