I am in the process of putting an IF custom sectioned caddy bumper on my truck. Whats the best way to smooth out and prep the bumper for paint? Its pretty wavy right now.

if its fiberglass and not poly ureathane then you can just use regular body filler on it and prime it then paint it but if its poly you have to use the approprate crap for what ever kind of plastic it is

Or here: http://www.fiberglassforums.com

I dont do much fiberglass but when I do I usually go overboard. Depending on how bad the waves are I usually add more glass, then duraglass and finish it off with a glaze. If its not to bad you could just use bondo like mike had stated.

** I cant get the hotlink to work
