Ranger 4 cylinder motor

I was just wondering if the newer dohc cam ranger motor is better than the 98 motor. and if the wiring harness would just plug in like the 98 ranger does.

any1 know anything about these motors?

i doubt it. i personally dont like them, the lima motor(sohc) is old technology, but easier to work on imo. i doubt the wiring is a plug n play.

lol d*mn! i wish things could just be easy for once haha. ya i work at oreillys and from what i head the parts are pretty expensive the dohc, and some are hard to find.
