I have a SeaDoo jet boat and at the ass end of the boat where the upper and lower hull meet together there is a small spot that has a tendancy to leak and let water into the engine compartment. This leak is due to the fact that the boat had an oil leak prior to me being the owner, which it does not have anymore, however, oil had penetrated this spot on the hull seam, and now it leaks. I have tried numerous times to degrease this spot and re silicone/caulk, and to no avail it doesnt stick and keeps on leaking. I am not looking at cutting this out and re glassing as it is on a formed seam and frankly I am not that motivated nor skilled in glass to attempt it. Are there any products such as oil resistant caulking or butyl tapes, or putty that can seal this small gap and not be affected by oil residue?

YOUR LOCAL PAINT STORE HAS SOME STUFF CALLED "FUSOR". THEY HAVE DIFFERENT TYPES FOR ALL APPS. YOU CAN BOND FIBERGLASS TOGETHER WITH IT. IT'S IN A CAULKING TUBE.PUT TAPE OR CARDBOARD ON ONE SIDE AND APPLY TO THE OTHER. IT SETS UP PRETTY QUICK. HOPE THIS HELPS
