I have a 93 Toyota and I plan on doing a 350 swap. I was just wondering how much power can the stock rearend handle? I'm not doing anything special with the motor. Just 200-300 horsepower at most.

you should be good i saw a 4x4 with a 350 swap a few years ago he claimed it was 350 hp also, but he could have been full of shi+. anyways it had the stock toyota rear and he was beatin on it pretty good without a problem.

If you swap to a 4x4 rearend they will hold up but the 2wd won't they are smaller axles and gear.

you should be ok with the stock rear with a mild small block. unless you are setting up the suspension for a max traction situation, the truck probably wont hook good enough to break anything.now, if your going to run sticky tires or design the susp. to hook, then it will definitely break at the weakest link.

id say get a 2wd v6 rear just because its a bit bigger. 8" vs a 7.5" setup.
