I like aircraft stripper. Very cost effective and not as messy.

I would personally just sand it....its going to be the cleanest way, and offer the best result.

I wouldnt sandblast anything myself. Ive done it too many times, and it just makes a mess. Same goes for chemical stripping, its a mess.

I would just get a big thick foam backing pad, and get an 8" 80 grit, and blast the paint off. Ive stripped hundreds of cars, and thats my favourite method.

will the stripper take off bodyfiller or just paint

seems like the real old fillers don't like to come off real easy but the stuff thats been on for less than 5 years comes off with the stripper.

you usually gotta knock the last bit of filler off with some sort of abrasive no matter what though.

well i may not have to strip the bed if i find a new one that no one has molessted..but if i cant the i will have to try and save this one

In my experience,t he chemical strippers soften the bodyfiller a lot. If its thin, it usually peels off in one piece. If its thick it comes off in layers.

if u sandblast the bed, be careful that u dont warp the metal. warped a 58 impala hood bad back in the day, that was not fun to fix
