the reason i beleive alot of fords are clipped is becasue the i beams esp on excursion and super dutys hang way below the frame... the pinchs on those trucks are darn near the bottom of the frame......

Excursions do not need a BD to lay body. The "X" 2dr is not BD. Chris just redid the front end and crossmembers.

I think people are using chevy dually clips under them to save time and layout.





The one on the page before in the rolling shot has a scratch built front suspension, with what look like Chevy spindles. The suspension looks like an afterthought though.

I'm not sure on the spindle....Rocky over at Chaotic did the work. That's a badass truck....

ranger i belive it is a one off of a ca chevy 1 ton suspension... using a chevy spindle with custom made engine cradle to protect the motor....
