I am about to convert my 89 ex cab to a long bed and I am wondering about my driveshaft, are there any replacements I can use rather than having one made? I am also selling my short bed I have on now. shaved rock guards, gas door, and smooth roll pan welded in. inside is cut for bags and not so pretty. Outside is candy burple. I will take $400 for it. no tailgate, but I will add mine for the right price. I got lucky and scored one from a pepsi factory around here that is in almost perfect shape. haven't seen many around here but I am sure there are several around the country. anybody got some pics of some? I am located in clarksville tn if anyone is interested in my shortbed. I will also throw in a fiberglass flush bed cover for free that is useable but not so pretty.

i don't know about your year, but on my 88 when i put my longbed on it & extended the frame, i went with the stock 2 peice driveline & used the factory carrier bearing crossmember. i did have to have the driveline shortened about 2" (i'm not exact on that) because it would bind at the trans snout when it was laid all the way out or real low.

hope that helps & good luck...
