Ok, im trying to figure out the right parts that i'll need to setup my brakes....

for the brake pedal itself I would like to run with the reverse mount master cylinders. Reason being is I want to keep the firewall clean, and there isn't that much room there anyways, so behind the dash will be best. Now, I've noticed there are different length pedals (different ratio's I guess?), Wilwood has different one's, do you know which would be best for my setup?

If it makes any difference i've got disc brakes on all 4 corners.

Also which master cylinder(s) should I be using along with the pedal.

I can't tell you what specifically to get. Its kind of a preference thing, as far as pedal stiffness goes. But you still need to be able to move enough fluid safely to stop, but preferably without an impossible pedal. So this is the way I look at it.

Smaller bore, moves less fluid in its stroke but it is easier to compress the fluid. So you could use a shorter pedal. A larger bore moves more fluid, but the larger the bore the harder it will be to manually compress the brake fluid. But it will have a shorter stroke when moving the same amount of fluid. You would probably want a longer pedal.

Usually a 5/8" to 3/4" bore is pretty easy to move manually, and can move enough fluid to stop most light vehicles. Once you get up to 7/8", 1", and 1 1/8" it gets near impossible to press manually, and really should be a power system at that point.

now, im assuming with the dual master cyl's one would be for the front and the other for the rear?

corey like i told you the longer the pedal the easier it is goin to be for you to push it down. the shorter the pedal the harder the brake pedal will feel. there is only 2 different ratio's you can buy. there is room if you do some cutting to use the longer pedal in your truck. Dont buy master cylinders until you know exactly what your running for brakes. because if i build you a kit the master cylinders will be totally different if you keep your exsisting calipers... i told you all this but i think we were drunk so thats most likely why you dont remember... drunkert...lol

I'm sure it could be plumbed that way. I'm not sure though, I've never ran more than one. But ti would be a good idea. If you ever had line failure on either end, you could still stop.

oh and if your running stock calipers than you better figure out the dia. of the pistons on the stock caliper so you can do the math to figure out what master will work best... ill email you the formula you need to figure that out...

you need to send me an email with some prices on stuff.... i've asked you before how much $'s it will be for the brakes on my truck, just fronts I suppose seeing as how i've got the rx7 stuff out back, i can just run the stock stuff back there.

we need to start talking some details here soon I want to get everything figured out, im starting to get goin on the truck again.
