Opening rear glass on 93 Caprice wagon...

Tailgate is shaved and the switch on the dash to pop the back glass is not working..........anyone know how to get the back window to open w/o out the button on the dash. I think connection in tailgate must have come loose or something.?

I have never worked with one but I'm assuming you could just put straight power to the motor in the back and see if the motor is still good. If it is, just wire up another switch?

this is my last post for the month. i know this may sound stupid. however check your fuses, cause usually the back window is on a seperate fuse, also check and see if you can pry the plastic back and use a wrench or screwdriver or something to see if you can open the latch and go from there ive had to do it many times before.. just not on a caprice..

Might sound stupid, but make sure the tailgate is really shut. i know on mine that sometimes it looks like it's shut all the way and the light isn't on in dash. The glass button does not do anything. I just push it and can hear it finally "click" shut then the window works.
