My 720 runs fine till i get around 40 or so and then it stumbles and wont go. I can pat the gas and pedal it around. Then sometimes you can get in the truck and it runs just fine. What could the problem be? Some say the fuel filter may be stopping up but if that was the case would it not stumble all the time? This truck is a completly stock kingcab with 124000 on it. I was thinking about selling it but i know i can't get nothing for it when it don't halfway run. Any help would be great... start with the cheap fixes first...lol. I don't wanna replace the carb if it don't need it. - Thanks.

Ok...try starting by changing the plugs, cap
& button, wires & you can always look into changing the fuel pump if its mechanical. I had a 720 & it did the samething & those are those are the parts I replaced to fix it.

Yea man i got a 85 and around 128k it did that i pecked on the fuel pump and it ran for like 3 minutes no problems so i changed the fuel pump worked like a brand new truck also some new plugs and maybe wires would help quite a bit as well
