got a new project

found this in someones yard, i dont know what all im going to do to it yet. but i know im going to have to cut rockers ,since they are rusted maybe some 17s and a shave job. anyone got ideas?

motor is completly rebuilt he put oil in it and never timed it no water or anything been sittin for 2 yrs. well i went to check the timing and it was off. the pistons are hitting the valves, so im going to pull the head and check the valves

i retimed it and it didnt have compression, so i put a lil oil behind the valves and it seems like they are not seating. i want to make sure they are not bent

damn i love those trucks. there is one here in town ive been scoping for a while. its MINT! and just sitting... has been for a couple years!

btw- a big back window and a billet phantom grille would be tits!

yea it came with extra door glass and a solid back window, i just want to get it running and legal first. whats it going to take to lay this thing out? i plan on cutting the rockers, is stock floor possible?

there is a old guy in my grandma's park that has one that is rust free, perfect condition, and has a crappy white camper shell on it. I've wanted it for a while, but no extra dough until the 67 is finished and sold.

if im not mistaken the frame is fairly even w/ the rocker on those trucks. shouldnt be too hard to get it to lay rocker.

you might wanna check with the dude that built that red space cab (which is now for sale) i cant remember his screen name... he also has a yellowish primered truck like yours thats laid out on big wheels.

well i pulled the head and sure enough the valves were bent and not seating. i ordered the valves and a new gasket set, should have it running by the weekend
