ok my frame is a c-channel frame.if i cut the bottom of the frame off the amount equal to laying the rocker on the ground, then box it in, move the body mounts down-do the tranny tunnel and whatever else comes into play as far as the cab floor goes for clearance issues. will i have to do my frame horns? if so will it be equal to how much of the frame i take out?again im just thinking.also i know ill have to redo the x-members

You will have to build new cross members, yes. You shouldn't have to touch any of your body mounts if you are cutting the bottom of your frame off. But that will cause you to have to Z the truck and run a larger notch in the back. I've seen a frame done this way on a Toyota, and honestly it looked pretty sketch.

Seth would better be able to answer this question for you, he knows more specifics about vehicle than I do.

youll also end up haveing to raise your tranny cuz itll hang below the bottom of the frame if you cut the bottom off you nned to z the front end just createing a whole lot more work

Yeah, look at under your car and picture all the components that hang below or at the bottom line of the existing frame. then imagine those sticking out 2-4 inches further because of chopin the frame from the bottom. you would spend way more time and money moving all that around then you would doing a SFBD....and in the end yes you still need to move the horns
