Anybody have any good brands to go with... Im a broke minitrucker so dynamat is out ... fatmat on ebay seems okay- i've also heard of people just getting stuff from home depot.... any suggestions- I don't even have a stereo just need to quiet down road noise/exhaust etc. cuz my truck is loud

someone on here said "roofing paper" a few months ago on a thread.

fatmat is okay. i used on a friend of mines car. You just have to use twice as much as dynamat to get the same effect. My advice is to save up some scratch and buy dynamat. It is by far the best I have used.

Yeah... I know dynamat is great but i really don't need that great of sound deadening... just want to quiet down road noise... Anyone had any experience with the home depot stuff?

cool.... I have been trying to figure out exactly what people had used from lowes.. That should be good for what i need i think---- it says aluminum faced... is it rediculously bright? I wont be running floor carpet for a while and I wouldn't want a shiny ass floor.

It might smell for a day or so but it worked really well. I did the floor, back wall and the doors on 3 rolls.

Hey Scotty! I used FatMat in my wagon and my quad cab dakota. I think it works great. Cost me $150 shipped for 100sq ft of the 80mil and it was enuff to do double layer in the doors of my dakota and double layer on the floor and doors and side panels in my wagon. It made a HUGE difference
