Wow, these are some clean set ups! I don't want to hijack this thread but I'm curious how do you get the corners and transitions so smooth? Also, do you fully tack weld or space the tacks out then apply seam sealer to fill in the gaps?

All the seams are fully tack welded. I can't tell you how many hours of welding and grinding I have into that bed. I actually used a 1/2 drive socket (can't remember what size socket though) to determine the radius of the corners. After I welded all the seams I used the socket to run over them and whatever welds hit got ground back until the socket went over smoothly. As for filler, only enough was used to cover the welds.

Edited: 1/15/2009 6:37:05 AM by tmiitEdited: 1/15/2009 6:32:50 AM by tmiitThanks KAOSS, i forgot about my thread...ok everyone, got an update...I got the truck finished, prepped it for shipment, put it on a boat Sept 1st, Azores, Portugal and I didnt get my hands on it until Dec 5th..well, they had an issue back in Virginia, before the representative can go out and tell them to put air in the system via the schrader valves under the rear, they already "lifted" it up, put wood blocks under neath and preceeded to truck it across the states...well, cool i thought...it'll be here in a bout 4 or 5 weeks...well, it got to Punsan Port, Southern tip of the Korean penisula, they couldnt get it off the boat, i told them to air it up, well, next thing I know is that my truck is ready for pick up...i was up at Osan at a conference and got permission to leave early to go to Yonsan VPC and pick it up.. im happy I m happy...well, it was still to low to drive it for the first time from Yonsan to Osan AB..so finally after searching the army post after hours, i finally made it to a tire place out side of the base, got 100 psi in the front.. oh, i failed ot mention, i couldnt put my system back together because they broke this when they hit rear end on something: (they broke a nipple that connected from the tank to the rear valves, so no way of pluggin the tank to keep air from building up tank pressure) : http://s71.photobucket.com/albums/i156/tmiit71/shipping%20damage/?action=view&current=IMG_0348.jpg  ..anyways, back on track, before i left, i looked into the bed to see if my extra parts were still there and realized they F'd it up: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i156/tmiit71/shipping%20damage/IMG_0347.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i156/tmiit71/shipping%20damage/IMG_0352.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i156/tmiit71/shipping%20damage/IMG_0353.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i156/tmiit71/shipping%20damage/IMG_0354.jpg http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i156/tmiit71/shipping%20damage/IMG_0355.jpg   OK, well i submitted a claim thru our Legal office, and its seems time is wasting away, so I went ahead and filed a claim with USAA...lets see what happens...oh, i did get a fitting to get the truck up on the road for now.....L8
