2008 silverado

put aftermarket 22s on my truck and know the service tire pressure sensor is driving me nuts anyone know how to kill it thanks

nope have no clue but here's a bump cuz that shit would drive me nuts to. so mabye somebody else can help!

try pulling the fuse might trigger another light...

WHO EVER PUT THE WHEELS ON MIGHT HAVE FORGOT TO REPLACE THE WHEEL SENSORS IN THE WHEELS !!

im sure you either have the sensors put back in the new wheels or the computer is going to throw a code al lthe time. Unless you get soembody to configure the computer.

I have always heard of them gettin put back into the new wheels.. Have you unmounted any of the factories yet?? i think the gm sensors just screw in to the valve stem holes. they dont have a band around the wheel i dont think. should be easy to fix..

mine does the same thing on a 2007 model the sensors are in the valve stems if you didnt get them out of the factory ones and put them in the new ones it will continue to do it...in the owners manual it tells you how to redoit when you have the sensors in place

if u put the sensors in the wrong wheels they came out of, it will cause a light to come on. if i remember, there is a reprogram for that in ur manual and another way i know is a dealer re-program for it, where they actually hook up a scanner. if the light is still coming on after u have reprogrammed it, they have busted ur 200 dolla sensor.... and all u can do is replace it. if i remember correctly, there is an option in ur manual that will allow u to turn off the sensor.... but i think it was only on the suvs, dont remember, hope that can help u

the sensors are the stems and probably didn"t get recalibrated when they changed the wheels out your owners manual will tell you how or any tire shop can do it

i work for gm and see this all the time.....90% of the time they dont put the sensors in the new rims...it depends on where and how the valve stem is on the new rim. if its not on the lip with clearance for the sensor they will not fit, if they mount in the center of the hoop its very hard to get them in with out breaking them..and yes people that mount tires break them all the time. if the sensor is moved from front to back or left to right it does not effect the sensor or the way it reads just will read in the wrong position, but there will not be a light...if you have the dic option go throught and see what the tires are reading...if they are all dashes they didnt put them in.. if some are reading and some are dashes than they broke one... on the 08 they took the tire pressure relearn off the dic becouse people thought that they could reset them and found out differently....all that did was cause us headaches....kent tx
