my buddy is trying to set up his 4-link and i've read alot of the post on here about, all the do's and don't.my question is this. can you run the lower bars (36") triangulated and the uppers straight?would that offset the travel? any pro's and con's to this? the long bars are gonna be right at the back of the cab. we don't want to cut them if possible but don't want to trim out the front bed wall to have room.what are some options to look at. pics would be great to. thanks

Most of what you are asking makes sense, but these don't. What is going to offset the travel? and you only talked about one set of bars, so how am I supposed to know which set is going to be at the back of the cab? If you triangulate the lower bars so that the bars are wide on the rearend and close at the cab, then it would be a Satchell link. They are used for lowering rollcenters on road race cars and are not necessary on a mini, but it won't hurt either.

I'm also not sure why you are concerned about cutting the front wall of the bed.

Do you have pics?

SORRY. IT'S MY BUDDYS, AND AS FAR AS THE BARS GO. WE WANT TO USE THE 36" BARS FOR LOWERS AND THE 24" BARS AS UPPERS. THE UPPERS ARE GONNA RUN PARALEL TO THE FRAME AND THE LOWERS WILL BE TRIANGULATED.WE DON'T WANT TO CUT THE LONG BARS BUT THEY ARE RIGHT AT THE CAB AND THE AXLE TABS ARE GONNA BE PUSHED BACKWARDS,WHEN MOCKED UP. IF WE PUT THEM ON THE BOTTOM OF THE REAR WE CAN GET A LITTLE MORE LEEWAY(SP?).

What you are talking about should work fine, assuming that everything is set up correctly of course.
