95 S-10 Project. Front Grille.

Hello everyone. Been doing research, on the last part now, getting information from others to assure my gatherings.

My 95 S-10 has the front grille and light set up of a normal 1995 S-10. Such as this one. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m85/vorsek/1997chevrolets101930-E.jpg

And, I am wanting to change the front grille and light set-up to a newer, 98+ year model, such as this one.http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m85/vorsek/2001chevrolets-1020194551-E.jpg

I want to give it that, better look, its all part of my master plan for the S-10, and it seems to be a cheap, and quick part of it, but I need to make sure before I continue.

So, is it really as simple as buying a new grille and new lights, and popping them on? With minor wire-work involved, or Am I going to have to move the radiator, fan, or anything else?

The body style is the same, so technically, a yr 98 grille will fit on a yr 95 body style front end. But what about the junk just behind it? Will those pose a problem?

i think the core support, is different, the light pocket behind the lights would be different. but thats nothing a cut off wheel and a little fab. work cant handle, it might be easier on you to just get a diff core support when you do the swap. i have a 99' s-10 and a couple square body s-10s. but i sure the 95 and 98 are different cores.

fbi sells a conversion for a pretty good price

yea the 94-97 core support and the 98-03 are 2 different ones so u will need to change the support to update the grile

i just wanted to chime in and say i have no idea what will/wont fit. i just wanted to give m_baldwin props for actually being very descriptive when asking for help! good job! often times the question is more confusing than the various answers!

Does this guide entail what is needed to replace the front end core support?Front End SupportI do not know if he put a new grile on it, like I am wanting to do. But... is that what i need to do?
