something bad happpened.....dont know whats up.....but the master cylinder is plunging the full distance, but still is not going into gear after bleeding the living shit out of it STILL not working right....what am i doing wrong?? im bleeding it just like you would brakes. Its worked for me like this before but now its not. Maybe the clutch slave is going out?? can someone with a 89-95 yota measure how far their fork is moving off the slave so i can figure out if something is broken??

They move between 1/2" and 5/8" on the slave cylinder.

I have had trouble bleeding them in the past. I had to replace my slave cylinder because it would not bleed. But when you have any new components its tricky to bleed. The master is bench bled already correct? After that, what you need to do is open the bleeder valve, and very slowly press the pedal until its at the floor, then close the valve before letting off the pedal. Cycle fluid through it one time, and then pressure bleed it once. That way worked for me, but no other method did.

yeah i thought about the slow pedal idea. im gonna give that a shot tonight. and from what the book says it doesnt have to be bench bled.....but i did get the air out of the master cylinde before hookin it up. The slave is moving 1/2" maybe i can get some mroe out of it. its probably that 1/8" i need

ive done 2 not a yota but a dodge 1500 and my s-10 but i just had to pump the pedal ant the air came up the line into the reservoir but i had to pump the shit out of it dunno if you can do the same with a yota if not nm i said anything

my nissan is bled by pumping the living shit out of it.. mine has some bad seals in it and goes dry on my randomly... you gotta love killing it every stop light and starting it in gear!

i used one of those hand pump bleeder things the last time around and it worked much better than the first few times i did it

Let me ask a couple ?'s. Did you just do a cluch? When you push the pedal does the master move at all?

Just ask quikies make sure that the adjuster bolt between the slave and pedal is not screwed in all the way It will move over time. this is common in a new clutch replacement. For bleeding I like to crack the bleeder at the slave and I mean crack it and let it gravity bleed for 2 bowls of fluid it always works for me.

I did a flip on it. the clutch is under the dash now

only thing I can think is that it is not pushing it fully. I know when I did the civic master in mine that I had to make the part that screws onto the shaft longer so it would push the master in all the way to get full extension on the slave. But the gravity bleed has always dodne good buy me.
