275/25/24 Need advice

Well im about to buy sum 2 footers for my 01 supercrew and i was told by one tire shop that i could use 275/25/24 "pirelli" on it and it would do just fine. i then called another shop and asked for the tire and they said that tire wasn't stong enough for my truck. I will use my truck as a daily driver so does anyone have any info on this? Has anyone used this tire before? Your advice is greatly appreciated thanks.

they tell you that because tire shops or any shop in general are not supposed to mount a tire with a speed rating, or load rating less than the factory equipped tire. that tire your going to use will not carry as much weight as your factory tire's rating and thats why he is saying that. if your not towing anything you'd probably be ok.

they are fucking tiny tires...i know i have some on my silverado lol. I havent drove on them yet so im not sure how they ride. They will be fine until the first big pot hole lol

I have 255/30/22s on the front of my f150 and there is no way that I would daily drive my truck with those tires. Just not enough protection for the rims. You will be at ~2.7 in. of sidewall which is basically nothing and will dent your rims on the first decent size pebble you run over. You need at least a 30 series for a decent daily ride, I did have 265/35s on mine and the ride was pretty decent

id run a 295/30/24 in the toyo proxes st... if it's not dropped all low, there's no reason why you cant run 305/35/24's... i do them all day long on those trucks...

yea thats the prob with f150's man.... id try to get bigger tires than the 275/25 because they are tiny! i run 255/30/22 on my crew cab daily and its not horrible but it works
