no fuel at the vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator. I'm gonna try the filter next, and see what that does. I really really really dont want to drop that tank. Aside from the starting, it runs and drives fine.

if you buy a new fuel pump dont get the gm brand. get an airtex, they come with another harness that you have to wire into the old harness. the factory plug on those pumps has a short and almost every new gm needs a new fuel pump quick. i sell them everyday. but gm wont admit they have a problem

BINGO!!

just get a gauge and check your fuel pressure,if its your pump don't drop the tank just lift the bed.GM fuel pump is the only way to go..been selling them at a dealership for 8 years,i will send you one at my cost just to not see you put an autoadvanceautocarquestchinesedelphi pump in there and go through this again in a year

and most people dont change their fuel filter when they are supposed to,so yeah if a pump burns out at 70,000 miles on a factory fuel filter, thats lack of maintenance. not junk pumps

I'm not the greatest person when it comes to basic maintenance. I'll admit it, but the filter was changed back when they did the pump, I specifically asked for that, and I looked when it was done. I'm gonna try that one, and see. Droping the tank or takin the bed off....either way its a pain.
