I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 that is having some a/c issues. If you start the truck it will blow cold air out the vents when the a/c is on. Driving down the road, sometimes when you hit the brakes hard you can hear a pop noise behind the dash and then it blows hot air from the vents. Also if you rev the engine in park you can hear a gurgling noise where the heater core is. The engine also gets hot sometimes and if you rev it up it will drop the temp. Any advice???

Anybody have a clue as to what the problem might be?

The coolant level is good, trying to see if it has a leak though. It has the 5.9 in it. Where would I look to check the HVAC box?

My 2000 has issues even after it's been replaced with a new one. Sometimes it will stop blowing when it's on so I just keep turning the dial until it works again. Maybe check all your lines and hoses to see if anything is loose or getting crimped?

You should be able to get a free freon check and see if it's low. They use a special meter and it detects leaks, mine was blowing out of the vents so I pulled the dash out and almost everything needing to be replaced.

Need any pictures without the dash or something let me know incase you need to locate a part or something.

check your heater core under the dash on the pass side behind the glove box.. but yougota drop the dash to get to it tho
