Besides devious is there any other companies making tanks ? I have a 98 Chevy C1500 and I'm trying to figure out some other options . I know its not a minitruck but I figured this would get more response in this section than in the fullsize . My tanks is raised but still seems to be a little low in the front .

ive moved them up and then put a peice of 1/4 inch plate under the whole tank to keep from dragging it, had it done to my old truck for years never had a problem with it,

I dont know that it can be raised any more . Its already up some . The front of the tank still looks kind of close . The front strap has already gotten a little damage . I'm looking for something I can do in my driveway without having to fabricate or weld anything . I dont have skills to do any major stuff and this is my daily so bringing it to a shop and leaving it for days or week is hard too . I like the skid plate idea . As long as the plate is removable so I can have access to the tank if I ever need to drop it down that would be a good plan B .

my thots were like this, if you have a full skid plate the tank is protected, if you have to change the sending unit or pump it easier to pull the bed anyway so mine skid plate was weled to the frmae and i made a front crossmember and a rear crossmember , all i had was bags on the axle so i didnt have alot of lift issues for clearance, itonly to a couple hours and some flat plate and a few feet of angle,

I got a long bed and I already pulled it once to do the fuel pump . That bitch is heavy lol .If I hadnt had a full 30 gallons of gas in the tank I would have dropped the tank .

you say u dont have any skills/etc, well i didnt either and i moved mine to my bed. it doesnt take much. yes its ugly but it totally gets rid of the chance of dragging threw it. u just have to extend the gas lines and some wires. then strap it down. good luck with whatever u decide to do though.
