My Caprice....plus I need some electrical help?

I built this car a couple weeks ago cuz I got sick of having nothing to drive. Just a simple bag job. Lays front crossmember on a 27" tire with stock spindles and inner fenders.


I'm having some problems with the electrical system, mainly the power door locks and power seats. They worked fine for a couple weeks now they took a shit on me. I looked in the owners manual and they are on the same 30A circuit breaker in the fuse panel. So I went to pull it out and it was hot to the touch, even with the car off for like 5 hours. So I pulled it out and tried it in the power window spot and it works fine. so its not the breaker itself. When I plug it back into the other spot, the locks and seats work for like 10 seconds then it craps out and gets all hot again. I checked both door jams for broken wires and couldn't find anything. Not sure what else to look at?

yeah I had all that apart and the seats out when I did the air ride though, since all my gauge lines and valve wires are run through the interior. And I was really careful to route it all cleanly and out of any pinch points. And its all run together with all the stock wiring. But I guess its worth checking out again. Just seeing if there might be any other obvious things I'm missing.

Did all of your wiring have shielding on it?

yeah its all insulated wires and its loomed.
