who of you guys are running them and who arent? I have KMC Nemsis rims that have a bigger bore then my yota suspension. I've been told i HAVE to use them, but i know a lot of ppl with bored eskies (bored to 4" for nissans) used on mazda's, etc. with no ring to fill the different in the hub and the hub bore.

i ask this because Matt and KMC Wheels and I have been trying to figure out what i need size wise. He went through is computer and sent me everything toyota, nothing fits. I've measured both bores (front and rear) and cant seem to find anything.

my bore is 2 and 5/8th.

i found out the hard way what can happen when you dont use them.
my rims started to crack (within 3 months)from the lug hole to the bore hole from the presure of the lugs being tightened.

i specifically ordered the exact bore for my truck, but instead the company sent be what their "book" said, regardless of what i had ordered.

i have now had some machined to make up for the difference. i think they cost me under $100 to have made.

if your wheels cracked from having no hub ring then you are way overtightening your lug nuts. I have never herd or seen anything like that. I have worked for a wheel company. You do not need hubrings. It is a good idea so that you do not have any vibration problems. If the wheel is properly installed and torqued you will never have a problem. If you cannot find hubrings and are still worried, you can purchase lug centric lug nuts that will fit the hole of the wheel perfect. Same concept as a centering ring. And most wheels come in standard hub bores like 73 mm or 76 mm. So if you orded wheels that were supposed to be hub centric, That would almost be impossible unless the wheels were one off.

my 4x4 hub bore is 100mm, but what they said my truck needed was 110mm(regardless of me sayin otherwise). which is 1/2" from the lugs. and i torque them to 95, which is what my manual said. and they started to crack on two of the lugs. so now i have 5mm steel centerrings in the rim, no more problems.

Wow, that is crazy. Most wheel companys will not machine that close to the lug holes. Dumb on there part.
