not really that great of a deal unless you actually wanted to use 69 stang parts to build your A...theres alot better deals out there for nicer A's to be had...just gotta find em..there just not on ebay..ive got ten grand into 5 sedans and 2 coupes..and they are nearly complete cars with VERY little rust

I'm going to have to agree with this. There are better deals to be had. You should be able to get all of that for about what the bidding is at right now. The trick is, like Trevor said, not looking on eBay. Everyone on there thinks their shit is worth a lot of money because its old and rusty, when in reality it isn't. Look on craigslist, and in the paper. And when you search, don't search for "rat rod" because that term seems to drive up the price. Just search by year. I did this for about a year until I found something I liked. So now I have $550 invested in a titled 30 Chevy, with a running engine and transmission, front and rear axles, springs, bones, and a full set of wheels and tires. Albeit there isn't much to the Chevy body, its in great shape, and workable, and will be easy to turn into a roadster pickup.

^^^ yupp....ive found that a really good way to find stuff is either word of mouth..or just go out there and look for it..ie: spend a weekend driving backroads and knocking on old farmers doors...youd be suprised what you find..id guess that at least 1 in 5 farms/country homes..have either a car tucked away in the barn..or cars in the trees..etc...the trouble is now..that with scrap prices, ebay, and alot of people doing what i just said here...they are getting harder and harded to find for a score of a price..but they ARE out there..i know of at least a handfull more in my area that i would pick up if i had the extra cash layin around (or if i needed any more cars lol)

I would just as soon have the Mustang as I would the 29. I can't seem to find a reasonably price Mustang around here anymore.

the going price for shit like that around here seems to be around 4k on the average, from what i've seen. Maybe its just a deal to me because its in the perfect shape to fit my needs; metal for my own frame, striped body ready for cutting, and tons of spare parts i would actual use, including the mustang. Plus, dump alittle money into the body of that mustang and you could easily get you money back, if not more. I'd lay down 2500 in a heart beat if i had it.
