Three are a couple of different ways to do it. You can do it with tintable primers, but primers are mostly porious. Not sure if that's spelled right. Which means it will allow water to seep down into your bodywork and metal work, you can use an epoxy primer but it will gum up your sand paper. The best way in my opinion is to use actual base the colors in which you prefer and make several layers of paint, after that you can go back with some 500 grit sand paper maybe even 320 and wet sand the entire truck, more in certain spots than others, this will give you a years of layers look, 320 might leave sand scratches so if you use 320 use a soft pad on a da and go lightly at it. After you get the look you want you go back with an good amount of flattening agent in a clear and the entire job will be nice and sealed at the same time! The more flattening agent you use the flatter it will look! Un my opinion that's the best way to do it, not sure what everyone else will chime in with!
