steering wheel swap

i want to swap my steering wheel in my 92 gmc out for an old car/truck wheel i know some of you ave done this, so what wheel did you use and how hard was it to get/make an adapter?

anyone? I want to find a wheel out of a 50s car/truck

I just did this with a 64 Impala wheel in my Mazda. I cut the Mazda hub and left 3/4" around the bore, then drilled out the Impala wheel and welded the Mazda core inside.
