mainly when you bore it your either cleaning it up the cylinder walls due to alot of mileage or deep scratchs in them but im not sure how big you can go thou i would leave that up to the machine shop thou

hey bro yeah everything you said in the first post will gain you.but it has to be a combo,if you just put a bigger carb on no,then you are just adding fuel.you have to burn the fuel and get rid of the exaust.if you boreit .30 over is good with a pistion that has more compresion, add a cam and roller rockers, and the weebers with a header then yeah you should have a pretty good power jump.mabey all of what you said and a good ignition set up like m.s.d and you whould prolly be pretty happy.but have the shop thats rebuilding it bore it out or let you know if its a virgin block,it may have been done before.and tey will tell you how far you can go with no problems.but just think of it like this,if you give it more fuel it needs more fire, more air,and more exaust, take one away and you will get less power add all in a good como and you will gain.sorry for the book im outa words.

thats what i wanted to no,cause im sendin it off to get the block and the vavle done at the same time so i will have a fresh engine, i dont want nos and all that other stuff like turbos and superchargers, it would be nice to have but thats a little much.

I was lookin for russ d input on this , i figured he would be tearin this up by now

Don't waste you're time on the cam, I would just spend the money on a light weight fidanza flywheel, you will be happier with it. One beauty about raising compression is that it helps gas mileage as long as you stay off the throttle.

Here is a place with some additional reading info for you:B2200 Tech Section
