hey hows it going, i currently have a website www.railitcustoms.com and the shopping cart is giving me an error when you click on products, ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS????? DONT KNOW IF ANYONE ON THIS SITE KNOWS ABOUT PHP OR ZEN CART BUT WORTH ASKING THANKS. here is what i was told by another ecommerce solution company...... " Hi Josh,I see the error you are talking about. This probably means you have MySQL 5 installed on your server, and your version of Zen Cart (1.2.6d or earlier) does not fully support MySQL 5. This issue has largely been fixed in the version 1.3.x series, and will be improved with each release. If you have to stick with your current version the best solution would be downgrading to MySQL 4.

If this is something you would like us to repair it will cost you around $200 and we could start early next week. We would need the admin login to your hosting account. I will be out of my office on business till Monday morning. In the meantime you can contact me via email. Please let me know how you want to proceed. Thanks for considering Seaway Web Design. I look forward to your reply

I would take up the guy on the $200 dollar offer if I were you. Having someone jack with your cart/database if they DO NOT know what they are doing could corrupt it/ruin your database leaving you with having to recreate all your products and info.

We do ecommerce sites but I wouldn't even bother with something someone else has installed/configured before in most cases. It could also be likely your host did something on the back end that caused your cart and the data base not to play well together.

So this is one of those cases where you are best to go with it someone you know can do fix it right. $200 bucks is nothing honestly to fix that, thats a good price. Heck if your site is worth its sole you probably lost $200 in 1-2-3hrs of down time.

Good luck and let us know how it comes out.

who's your service provider? Some service providers will allow you to set up old versions of mysql. Just go into your user control panel and set up mysql 4 then create a new sql data base.
Or you can try and back up your data base then upgrade to the latest version of ZEN CART. Your gonna want to be on a linux server as well because microsoft hosting can create serous issues with php functionality.
