stud or hub?

i see alot of people run hub centric wheels i found a great deal on a set of 24.5 budds he says are stud centrics? does this sound right? does anyone make a stud centric adapter? whats the differences in rides etc...

yeah i called trevor today. i found 24.5s for 100 each ima snatch up. waiting on a friend to see if his machine shop can mill em down locally and ill powdercoat em black. should be sexy.
