i got some new gsxr stickers for my bike and was wondering what the best way to apply them was. i have seen people use what i believe to be a soap and water solution to apply vinyl, i could be wrong, idk. these stickers arent vinyl though, they are chrome stickers and dont really have any stretch to them like vinyl does. i just want to make sure i dont f them up and have to order new ones.

please give me some tips on the best way to apply them

thanks

what should i use, something like a bondo spreader to get the water out? and, does the soap and water just evaporate and the sticker sticks?

You will need a hard card, its made of plastic and a little harder than a bondo spreader. Basicly you will wet down the sticker and the bike plastics and then apply the sticker where you want and push the water out from behind the sticker. The soap and water just allows you to position the sticker exactly where you want it. If you don't get all the water out it can cause it to bubble but is the best way to apply a sticker like you have. I like to make sure to keep the hard card wet as well so you don't have to worry about damaging the sticker.

i would also recommend using a hair dryer or a heat gun to make the sticker form to the plastics easier. If you get bubbles pop them with a small pin and apply some heat around it. also use dish soap and get your spreader from autozone. just use a tint sqeege (sp?) It would make it easier if you had another person helping you pull the film off while you were applying the sticker and using the spreader to put it on

Kind of obvious but dont do it out in the sun. When I have it where I want it. Ill put it out in the sun and do a final run with the squeegee.
