ok, i have a bronco 2 fuel tank and am using a 600cfm carb on a 302.i have the factory fuel pump and sender from my 92 3.0 ranger that fits in the tank. i can use that with a return style regulator and then one fuel line going up to the carb.

i was wondering if there are any factory fuel pump/sending units that i can use to get lower pressure and no return line. i thinking maybe something from an 80's bronco 2. i guess in 88 the 2.9 bronco 2s used 2 fuel pumps and the one in the tank runs 4-6 psi, and then there is a high pressure pump outside the tank. this sounds low but would that be enough fuel for that carb?

i suppose i could always just get a unit out of a returnless ranger and regulate it with only one fuel line running up front.

you guys have any suggestions on which piece to buy? i want to use stock parts (well, stock for something) so that i can easily get a replacement if necessary.

thanks

or just get the sending unit for a carb'd bronco II. i think its a direct swap. the in tank pumps on the gen Is are designed to just get the gas out of the tank not push it to the motor. i would use the stock 92 pump and put a pressure regualtor at the carb.

just run the stock in tank pump to get it out of the tank and run an in line pump with a regulator under the hood or along the frame. it's what I did on my gen 1 ranger with the same setup (5.0L holley 600)...but the stock ranger tank (was a 2.9L)

carb'd bronco II tanks have a different pump and opening. Its actually smaller then the Fuel Inj models...
