I am going to put my 03 dodge dually on some 24" wheels (it in paint prison right now) and id like to lower it a bit since ill have low profile tires on the wheels i will be towing a single car trailer quite a bit and possibly 5th wheel but not very often if at all the truck as a underbed hitch for it if needed but im wondering if i can lower the truck and if so how much and where to find the parts to do so i havent found much of anything so i was going to have my frind customize my front lower control arms and lower the spring packets in them and i thought of having the rear leafs de arched so they will be lowered but still have the same strength so basicly my ? is for thsoe of you running 24"s on your 2wheel drives how low did you go front and rear non bagged

I have no idea, If the wheels tuck is the main issue. If they don't tuck, I would think lowering would not be good.

I forgot to mention i have 2" wider fenders going on the back and i dont want to go on the floor just take care of some of the wheel gap

pics of truck? and what wheels you wanting ? you have several options and combos to run as far as suspension goes. you could drop it down few inches and run some basic helper bags for your towing needs.

You can go with a flip kit in the rear (I happen to have one that is built just for Dodge 3500's PM me if you are interested) it will drop the rear so there is about 2" gap between the top of the tire and the fender lip. The overloads must go when this is installed so a set of helper bags would be needed. And a mini "C" notch needs to be added. In the front you can cut the coil or as you said cut the spring pocket and drop itin the control arm. I would go deeper than you would like and add a set of spring adjusters so you could fine tune the final ride height.

I'm not sure if u want to get into cutting a c notch in the frame just yet and is that 2 inches with the 24's?

Let me be more specific......:/ with a 32" tall tire combination...... And the flip kit installed. The axle will be touching the frame..... At that point the tire would be 2"'s from the fender lip... You posted 285/40/24 which is about 33"s so you would be 1-1 1/2 from the fender lip... You could decide not to c notch the frame at the cost of a shi$$y ride. Or you could do a mini "c" so your not slamming the rear end into the frame. Personal preference .... Maybe? If your tire combo is smaller then subtract the difference, or larger vise versa.

That make sense thanks how low does the flip kit make it overall compared to stock??
