I need to locate a steering box for a 68-76 BMW 2002 series. I believe the 1800 is also the same box. Anyone know of a place that may have them? I've had no luck on eBay, or the junkyards.

i'll ask a buddy...he restores them & if he doesn't have one i'm sure he can get it.

still need that box? jon called yesterday & he says there's a $200 core so he has to check if it's $400 total or $400 + $200 core! ouch!!!

let me know if you still want one...

$400 + core is standard. I'm only looking to spend around $100.

i'll ask if he knows anyone that can do it better, but if not good luck...

Seth what are you using this box on? Is it a power unit you are looking for? I can get a Plymouth Volare Box for you. A guy that comes into the shop I work at just cut a Volare front-end off his 48 Chevy Truck and replaced it with a Monte Carlo subframe. Said I can come get the Box if I wanted it. Price would be right. (Free) Just let me know. I can go by and snap some pics of it if you want me to.

Seth, We just picked up a 91 BMW 3.18is for our newest shop project (air ride, blower, BBS wheels, etc.) So we have been dealing with trying to get some parts for these older bimmers lately. Try Strictly German, their number is (706) 654-9156.
