can anyone tell me how to do this in detail on a 01 tacoma? i know i turn the bolts an equal amount of times but i have never done it and dont know where they are.... any help will be awesome. thanks.

Look under there and you will see the torsion bars running back towards the rear of the truck. The bolts you need to turn will be pointing up towards the cab at the end of those bars. They will have 2 nuts on top, loosen the top one first then hold the bottom one with a wrench so the bolt will spin freely.

In this pic they are the long bolts underneath the highlited anchor.

Another tip too is jack the front of the truck up & get the tires off the ground. Taking the weight off the front end will help by getting some of the tension off the bolts making them easier to turn.

i coulda sworn my 2000 had torsion. but yeah i looked last night and they were coils. thanks anyways.
