I have a 89 S-10 with the 4.3 V6. it was parked for about a month, it ran great when i parked it. today when i went out to drive it everything seemed fine until it warmmed up. as soon as the motor got warm everytime i have it in gear it dies. if it's in park it's fine. what's the problem? i'm thinking it can't be anything too extream. any info will help. thanks.

i would check your fuel pump, it sounds like its stops sending the motor gas, and then while your driving it dies out in gear..... check the sending unit on your fuel pump.

sounds exactly like what happened when my fuel pump died in my 2k s10 when it dies get out and listen to the fuel pump if you dont hear it, its dead.

ive had this happen on a truck before and it turned out to be the rear wheel cylinders were seized and as soon as i put it in gear it killed the motor

i know it's not the fuel pump because i just replaced it about 3 months ago along with the fuel filter. so far i'm thinking it's eather the TPS sensor or the coil went bad. i also just did a tune up on it not that long ago.

mine is a auto. if it's in park it idles just fine. if i keep my foot on the gas just enuff to keep the rpms up it will stay running. i know it's getting fuel, and i know it's getting air, my only guess is spark. i have a msd blaster coil that i thought about putting in but with the coil i have now it has a white and a pink wire going into it and then another pink and white wire coming out of it going to the distributer. the msd coil only has a positive and a negative. does anyone know how i go about hooking it up.
