I am building an 86 toyota. I'm in the final stages of putting things back together when I realized at the trim around my door frame (cab side) is brown. I'm wanting a black edge trim to go with my interior ideas a little better. So I have been looking on google for hours and all I have found is one manufactor that makes exactly what I'm looking for, but the problem is the comp. is from the UK. I dont know how to dial out of the united states for one thing, and I'm worried about giving my card and information to a foriegn vendor. The URL is www.automobiletrim.com the prodect and web page look great, but how the hell do I get a hold of them? I tried dialing their number +44 (0) 20 8204 0255 (thats for outside of UK calls) ANYHOW, does anyone know where I could get this product from a domestic manufactor? I would rather spend my dollas here anyway.

post up a pic of the piece you are referring to...

"around my doorframe (cab side)" doesnt really ring a bell. is it the windlace or is the plastic piece at the bottom? there should only be 2 pieces there. one is a curved u-shaped trim that basically pinches on the metals edge, that is called the windlcae. the other is at the bottom (next to where your seat recliner handle would be) that, as far as i know, is called the door seal trim.

anyway, ive searched the web over for numerous parts for my yota so im pretty familiar with where to get things... oh, the windlace is available just about anywhere in a plethera of colors.

as far as oprdering overseas, i ordered my taillights from an aussie website with no troubles but the shipping raped me!

If it is the same aas 89 -95 toyota, we use edge trim at work all the time, it is from a company called Faucher, it would work.

I guess it's "windlace" I was under the impression it was called edge trim. It's the piece that pinces the metals around the door frame. I'm not going to vinyl die it because of it's flex. If it's available where the hell can I get it? I'm sure they make them in many colors and varieties of texture.

yeah the weatherstrip that covers the pinch around the door frame, you can buy it in bulk at most automotive stores that sell body shop materials.i can get the exact piece from toyota but you will not like the price of it!

yeah, thats why I'm looking for a mass production, self cut and fit product. no link for online purchase?
