Ok, so went up to the Auto Hobbyshop here on Ft. Stewart. Did the little walk around/safety brief. The shop looks like at one time was pretty squared away. But it seems now that it's neglected. Some of the lifts are now inoperable, paintbooth is out of commission, and tools just looked like they've been beat to death. So I was wondering what a soldier can do about it? Obviously it looks like the military isn't too concerned since the guy says Job Orders never seem to get done. So I'm wondering if shops could donate older equipment...can't business' get tax deductions for donations? I am only wondering so if that is true, maybe of approaching some shops and seeing if they'd be interested. I also have thought of maybe looking into what it takes to host a show to help out the Auto Hobbyshop. I was thinking of building my Ram 50 there but not sure. I do know that it's a valuable asset to the soldiers on this base. Tell me your suggestions, advice, etc...but please, no bullshit or SSM Hate messages!

get as many guys together as you can who would benefit from some freshening the place up and start writing letters n emails to anyone in the custom/automotive market/scene (parts/tool manufacturers, all the powerblock shows n shit like that and their sponsors, SEMA, Summit, Jegs, etc) and im sure alot of em would not hesitate to donate something towards yalls cause

I agree with The Dave (lowdime904) & would get anybody that is willing to help you to write companies, business & shops asking for help. Try to find out who made the lifts, tools & paintbooth & write then asking for some help as well too.

Yeah...well I've seen a few bagged trucks on this base so I'm going to try to hit them up as well. I know my boys and I will try to help out as much as possible. The welding/machine room was looking a little rough. They had a SnapOn plasma cutter and it was missing the tip. Guy says they've tried to order it but Snap On sent the wrong parts. The chop saw looks like it's a little rough. Torch has no gas or oxygen....shit like that, we can try to chip in...But to all the military members out there, these hobby shops need our support. I think just trying to get as many people signed up and using it will be a big help. But yeah, I think I might do a research and emailing in the future.
