Damn shame was a great driver. Maybe they will stop listening to the protestors and finally lengthen the tracks to allow drivers to run off further

it wasnt the fire that killed scott it was the fact that etown has no shutdown area, just a wall the impact of the wall is what killed him... i wouldnt race atg the track until that changed.

Some guy was doing an interview this morning and he said the track was built a long time ago and was made for 200mph cars. Not 300mph cars

I'll definitely be watching tonight.

Going back to the crash, I've only seen one angle that showed the entire crash, but from what I could see, it looks like he never made any attempts to slow down or hit the center of the catch net at the end of the track. In fact, it looks like he hit the wall to the far right that had no catch net in front of it, sort of like a guiding wall.

To me, it looked like he was either out or gone as soon as the engine blew. However, I do understand that in an explosion like that, many parts and pieces can also fail so he could have also be unable to steer. It will be interesting to see what the outcome is once the investigate it.
