ATTN: B2600 motor pros

Im havin trouble with my 2.6, alert the press! Anyways... i did a head gasket set on the engine right after i bought the truck, and i was so excited to get started that i didnt pay attention to the timing gears etc.... well i completely redid the gears... the crank gear is at 12 o clock, the cam gear is at 3 o clock when at TDC.

Im puttin the distributor in right. My problem is that my truck wont rev higher than 1800 rpm. It idles fine and revs smooth up to 1800, then it bogs down bad and drops to like 1500 rpm. I have pulled the distributor out n put it back in like 15 times, i've checked the timing gears. I dont know what the problem is.....

Fuel pump? filter is brand new

I doubt its the fuel pressure regulator, it worked when i took it apart

it sounds like it might be a bad throttle position sensor

i was thinkin it might be that but i dont know, i guess its worth a try

whoa..... 180 dollars for the TPS.... hmm.... guess i'll grab one from a junk yard hahaha

ended up bein the mass air flow sensor.....

well it doesnt bog down anymore but still wont rev higher than 2200 rpm.... could that be the TPS???? I'll grab one from the junkyard today if i can find one, And i'll let ya know

no luck gettin a TPS, guess that'll have to wait
