Ok I had someone wanting to by my truck with cash in hand but....it started running bad when he test drove it. So I got it towed to my moms house (it was closer than mine less of a towing charge) to work on it but now it runs fine or so I thought. I made it about 2 miles down the road and it started running bad again. It acts like it is getting no fuel when you give it gas. I got it home and let it sit for a day and now it runs again. It has 38 #'s of fuel pressure at idle and when you give it gas it goes up to 45 #'s. Is this where it should be or is it to low? The fuel pump is about 2 weeks old....could it be going out when it gets hot? Maybe the fuel pressure regulator is not holding? Please help I order a new double wide because it was sold and now I do not have the money for the down payment. By the wat it is the MPI 2.2 4cyl aut trans.

I have a fuel cell on my truck and i just got done taking it apart and cleaning it. My return line was sending rust into the tank. I couldnt drive for more then 10 min before my truck ran like garbage. Check the filter it could be getting clogged.
