The reason i ask is because i just got done installing my 3/8" smc valves to my 8 gallon 8- 1/2" port tank and I dont have my new compressors so i used 2 old viair 280's to see how it airs up but the back aired up a little and the front didnt air up at all im confused to what might be wrong, heres what the setup looks like

The outer valves are going to the front bags, and the inside valves are going to the rear bags:

Cutoff underneath (not sure what psi it cuts off at but i had 3 3 1/2 gallon tanks in it before that were max 150 psi so im assuming its 150 cutoff):

Old 280 im using just to ait it up:

this is really a "help" thread hehe i just got done putting it all together just to get practically no lift in the bags, frustrating. Im thinking it might be because the lines to the front bags might too long? but i dont know.

my guess is your not gettin enough pressure to the bags. With the valves for the front mounted all the way in the back it will be slower than if you had them mounted closer to the bag itself. Are all your valves clicking when you hit the switch?

yea they all are clicking, but when i hit the front ones they like barely go up maybe half an inch heh not even enough to get it off the ground, what could i do?

It sounds like you simply don't have enough pressure, I havn't checked your pics, but maybe your pressure switch is malfunctioning.

sounds like lack of air to me. put a gauge on the tank, see what it has.

alright im gonna order 2 480's pretty soon and a new cutoff to see how that does, i was just wondering if anyone had valves that far away from the bags and have any any problems with it being slow, i appreciate the help this was my first air setup deal and this is my daily driver im just trying to get it up and running because i get my license back pretty soon here.

you dont have enough pressure. Mounting the valves on the tank is fine. It MIGHT be a little slower than if they were mounted near the bag, but it really isnt noticable. It sounds like you are hardly getting any PSI. Are the 280s any good? can you put a shrader on it to lift it temporarly?

hmm im gonna try that lobdy, the compressors are old as dirt they were on the truck since before i had it, my original plan was to get some new compressors with allt he new stuff i just got, but i just wanted to air it up with these crappy 280's to see how my hardwork has paid off, I guess i just gotta wait till i get the new ones i just was making sure i dont gotta rerun alll the airline and valves again that would suck ass.
