Does anyone know if the trucks with the widetrack option had differences in the front suspension width as well as the rear width? Mine has this option and I have always had troubles with clearances with tires on the front. Even with stock wheels, 16 aluminum wheels, 19" brents and now my 24's I have always had troubles getting them to tuck. Others with the same wheels, had more room than mine does. When I was just static dropped running stockers, I could not run 225/75/16's as they stuck out, so I ran 215/85/16, which were still real close and eventually 215/70's when I was static dropped. When I bd'd it, I had KMC slam 16's on it and wouldn't get close to tucking, so I got the brentz 19's and had to run it with some negative camber to get them to clear.

Anyone else have these issues? I saw another truck just like mine, bd, same brentz 19's and had more clearance on stock arms, 3" spindles, etc. I know the spindles push them out a bit, but others are running them too.

I really don't want to or can afford to drop $1200 bucks on a set of arms for it.

Anybody? Maybe different rotors? Mine are 6.25 from the face of the rotor to the face of the wheel mounting surface.

Wish I knew bud I would tell ya. It was only fairly recently that I even knew about wide track on the duallies...and the 3500HD's.

I'd really be surprised if the front rotors are different. I checked both on NAPA and Rockauto and can't find any special rotors dependent on that RPO or anything that even sounds like it, and if it's out there, those sites are usually pretty good about having it and indicating it by RPO. That's not a 100% sure thing but I'd say 99%, ya know?

NAPA gives a height of 8.18" on the rotor but of course that measurement is from the back side face to the wheel mount surface, they give the thickness as 1.54", so if you subtract 1.54" from 8.18" that's 6.64" and of course is a new rotor that hasn't worn or been turned yet so that's really, really close to your 6.5" measurement.

Didn't see any difference in listings on GMpartsdirect for the control arms, either. I'd be willing to bet money there's no difference in frame as that would be way too unlikely.

Maybe it's just luck of the draw, how sometimes things fit fine on one truck but not on another? I know it sounds like a stretch to think it, but it does happen.

No worries, it is an unknown that has haunted me on this truck since I bought it brand new in 2000. Nobody ever really knows about the gty rpo, except that it exists.
