you could use the sleeve bags.like the ones that come in most of the air-ride tech kits.iv used them before, they seem to ride better tan a normal 2500 or 2600 over the axle or behind the axle...justa thaught.... :???:

Everyone says RE8s are softer over the axle than a 7. Based on having both in hand, I would say its true, because the RE8 is physically softer. So that may be an option for you.

The other reason why the RE8 will ride softer is that it has more air volume. So in theory, and expansion tank would create a place to store more air volume, and it may create a softer ride, but I am not positive.

I made the notches on the Datsun mini air tanks in case I thought it was necessary to run expansion tanks. But with sleeve bags I don't think it will be necessary.

ya i was thinkin that , i got some re8s in the shop that i was lookin at also, i was thinkin the expansion tank idea like they offered on aircylinders, i really like the cnotch tank idea that would save alotta room , thanks for the ideas guys

A larger bag will be softer because there is more room for the air to compress in. A sleeve part will be the best option, but they don't collapse down as far so making them simply bolt in gets tough. An expansion tank will also make for a softer part, but it will take some playing around to get it right. I haven't ever needed to use an expansion tank so I can't offer much help there except how to set it up, volume is going to be your guess.
