you can get an ex cab in a 2wd 5lug and prerunner 6 lug ..........i have a bodied 06 standard cab you can buy....

Does anyone know of a lowering kit for an 05' pre-runner?

the only thing you can do is buy coil overs and set the spring height really low or you can trade it in for a non prerunner truck

Crew cab tacomas do not come in "non pre runner" frames. Atleast thats what the dealer tells me. i was in there for a few hours and they said they just dont make them.
